Verse 1: Al qaari'ah
Verse 2: Mal qaari'ah
Verse 3: Wa maaa ad-raaka mal qaari'ah
Verse 4: Yau-ma ya koo-nun-naa-su kal-fara-shil mab-thooth
Verse 5: Wa ta koo-nul ji-balu kal 'ih-nil manfoosh
Verse 6: Fa-am-ma man tha-qulat mawa zeenuh
Verse 7: Fahuwa fee 'i-sha-tir raadi-yah
Verse 8: Wa am-ma man khaf-fat mawa zeenuh
Verse 9: Fa-um-muhu haawiyah
Verse 10: Wa maa ad-raaka maa he-yah
Verse 11: Naa-roon ha-mi-yah
Translation
Verse 1: The Striking Calamity -
Verse 2: What is the Striking Calamity?
Verse 3: And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
Verse 4: It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
Verse 5: And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
Verse 6: Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
Verse 7: He will be in a pleasant life.
Verse 8: But as for one whose scales are light,
Verse 9: His refuge will be an abyss.
Verse 10: And what can make you know what that is?
Verse 11: It is a Fire, intensely hot.
