Verse 1: Al haaku mut-ta-ka-thur
Verse 2: Hat-ta zurtumul-ma-qaa-bir
Verse 3: Kal-la saw-fa ta'lamoon
Verse 4: Thum-ma kal-la saw-fa ta'lamoon
Verse 5: Kal-la law ta'la-moo-na 'il-mal yaqeen
Verse 6: La-ta-ra-wun-nal ja-heem
Verse 7: Thum-ma la-ta-ra wun-naha 'ainal yaqeen
Verse 8: Thum-ma la-tus a-lun-na yau-ma-i-zin 'a-nin-na'eem
Translation
Verse 1: Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
Verse 2: Until you visit the graveyards.
Verse 3: No! You are going to know.
Verse 4: Then no! You are going to know.
Verse 5: No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...
Verse 6: You will surely see the Hellfire.
Verse 7: Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
Verse 8: Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.
