Virtue: As per title - Just a gentle reminder: What has Allah azza wajal said about this in the Quran? Allah Says in Surah Az-Zumar Verse 53: "Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
What do we learn from this? No matter what has happened, don't lose hope! Allah is giving us a chance to turn back to him, and remove all of our past sins.
Furthermore, Allah Azza Wajal says in Surah Al Imran Verse 139: "Do not loose hope, nor be sad"
