Pronunciation: Alif-Laaam-Raa, ki-taa-boon an-zal-naa-hoo i-lai-ka li-tukh-ri-jan-naa-sa mi-naz-zu-lu-maa-ti i-lan-noo-ri bi-iz-ni rab-bi-him i-laa si-raa-til 'a-zee-zil-hameed, Al-laa-hil-la-zee la-hoo maa fis-sa-maa-waa-ti wa maa fill ard, wa way-lul-lil-kaa-fi-ree-na min 'a-zaa-bin sha-deed.
Meaning: Alif, Lām, Rā. [This is] a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light by permission of their Lord - to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy - Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And woe [i.e., destruction] to the disbelievers from a severe punishment
